Gepetto le menuisier fabrique une marionnette qu’il baptise Pinocchio. Mais le pantin s’enfuit et entame une course autour du monde qu’il termine dans le ventre d’une baleine. Maître de l’animation italienne, Enzo d’Alo voulait retrouver l’atmosphère originelle du Pinocchio de Collodi. Il a travaillé avec l’illustrateur Lorenzo Mattotti pour les décors, qui rendent hommage à la beauté de la campagne toscane.

Geppetto the carpenter makes a puppet and calls him Pinocchio, but the marionette escapes and travels around the world, ending up in the stomach of a whale. Master of Italian animation, Enzo d’Alo wanted to get back to the original atmosphere of Collodi’s Pinocchio. He worked with the illustrator Lorenzo Mattotti for the backgrounds that pay tribute to the beauty of the Tuscan countryside.
